WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR FIELD PASSES?
Only Sea Hawker members who belong to a chapter that is in good standing (no trial chapters) and the member is also in good standing. What is GOOD STANDING?
ARTICLE II – GENERAL PROVISIONS
Membership and Structure
Membership eligibility: Anybody who is a Seahawks fan, who desires to share in our camaraderie, the work we do in our communities, and at the same time support our team may become a member of the Sea Hawkers.
All members must be in good standing. Chapters/members are deemed to be in good standing when all of the following conditions are met:
• Current on Chapter/member dues
• In compliance with all position duties, as assigned
• Not subject to any form of sanction, suspension or disciplinary action
• Not known to have violated any Seahawks or Sea Hawkers policies and/or guidelines, including these bylaws
It is not the Central Councils responsibility to decide what the term MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING means in each chapter bylaws.
If you are requesting a field pass for a member, they cannot bring a guest that is not a Sea Hawker.
Members who live within the 50-mile radius of Seattle and are asking for a Field Pass from a distant CHAPTER, that is outside the 50-mile radius, THEY ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A FIELD PASS. If you live within the geographical area of a localk Chapter than you must join a local Chapter, follow their guidelines and request the field pass from the local chapter. Distant chapter members fly or drive a long way to come to the games. THE FIELD PASS IS A PRIVILEGE NOT A RIGHT, (EACH FIELD PASS COSTS $350.00 THEY ARE PROVIDED TO THE SEA HAWKERS BY THE SEAHAWKS AND CAN BE TAKEN AWAY AT ANY TIME.
When you join a local chapter than you can participate with YOUR fellow local Sea Hawkers to work for the betterment of the community. That is what a Sea Hawker is about.
HOW FIELD PASSES ARE DISTRIBUTED:
It is expected by the Team that distant CHAPTERS get priority for Field Passes since they are normally flying into the area or driving a long distance, maybe they are coming from CA maybe Montana or Arizona or Europe, these are examples.
We try to accommodate the number of requested Field Passes as we feel is fair. The chapter members flying in from Europe will get more passes to games than the US distant Chapters and local Chapters, they typically come as a group.
We send out the first Field Pass email to the distant CHAPTERS first, we wait typically 2 weeks for the requests to start coming in, then we send the email to the local CHAPTERS and the distant CHAPTERS.
At that point, you should have started asking your members what games they are going to. Typically, most members have looked at the schedule and decided what games they want to go to. Season ticket holders are at every game. We do not suggest that you wait for your meetings to request the field passes. Also, certain games will be more popular than others (this year the popular game is the Ravens as it is the return of ET.) we do not restrict you to a number of passes and we do not need to pick the games for you. We do not micromanage like that. We moderate, if we see one chapter picking a lot, we will let you know your chapter has requested too many passes and other chapters need their opportunity to pick also.
LAST: ALL FIELD PASS RECIPIENTS MUST HAVE THEIR CURRENT MEMBERSHIP CARD WITH THEM WHEN THEY CHECK IN AT TOUCHDOWN CITY. NO CARD NO FIELD PASS.
We do not have access to your membership information and have already asked you when you requested the field pass if they are members, so this is yours and your members' responsibility.
WE WILL ASK ONE MORE TIME ALSO PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO AN EMAIL THREAD REQUESTING FIELD PASSES, IT JUST BECOMES A MESS IN THE GMAIL, AND IF WE MISS YOUR REQUEST BECAUSE IT IS JUMBLED UP WITH OTHERS THAN IT BECOMES A REAL ISSUE.
One last item. We send out an email to all Field Pass Recipients and the chapters that requested the passes before each game, instructing them on time frame and some pretty important things that they need to know, this is why we ask for their email address and phone numbers. If your chapter has requested Field Passes for the upcoming game and you do not get the email you better reach out to me. We prefer to only deal with 1-chapter rep. Again, DO NOT REPLY TO THE EMAILS CREATE YOUR OWN THREAD.
